Babies love the exploration of textures and taste and it's such a lovely way of recording their first birthday milestone and investing in remembering who they are, age one. Are they walking? Crawling? First wobbly steps? Bum shuffling backwards in their own unique way? Let's get that captured and celebrate their birthday in a way they can continue to enjoy every year as they look back at theses precious images!

Concerned with the frivolity of a cake smash and the potential wastage involved, as well as wanting to reduce cost for those on a budget whilst still offering value, I've created my "Zero Waste" birthday sessions. Simple, classic, clean, this all white set up with a simple neutral cake is a real show stopper, making sure baby is the star. Baby can sit for "clean portraits" before simply getting to enjoy their cake, illuminated in beautiful ethereal light whilst I capture the action and details that matter most and capture who they are right now.

If this looks like your kind of fun and you'd like even more time and adventure, you should totally go with my Classic Cake Smash and Splash- lasting up to an hour, there's plenty of time for baby to settle in for a "clean" portrait, before cake fun, with parents welcome to be photographed too, plus as a bonus baby also enjoys a splash in my vintage tub- often babies favourite part of the session, plus it cleans them up nicely too! With more images and products included in this longer session it's great value and a memory to keep and treasure forever.
