Proud to be a finalist!

Finding out I am a finalist in the Outstanding Customer Service Award category at this years Halton Business Awards was a moment of disbelief! Being shortlisted is an achievement in itself, with many businesses across the borough nominated in categories recognising innovation, dedication to the community and, my category, outstanding customer service.

The awards are an annual event organised by the Halton Chamber of Commerce recognising exceptional performance within organisations and business professionals from across Runcorn and Widnes. With entries across all sectors, these Awards showcase business success and organisational expertise.

As a people focused business, getting to know my clients, their needs and expectations informs everything I do in my work, and it is so lovely to have this recognised!

I put so much thought and heart in to how I communicate, how I make people feel, and how much they enjoy their experience with me. I'm naturally interested in people, getting to know them, and letting them shine- and isn't that what customer service is all about really?

The shortlisted applications will now go to a second judging panel with the winner being announced at the Spectacular Gala Dinner on Friday 12th June at Halton Stadium.

Anyone who knows me will know, being in the "limelight" is not my happy place, I am rubbish at taking compliments and there is a clear reason why I chose a career where I can hide behind the camera and celebrate other peoples achievements and life events!

Working alone, as a sole trader, it's all on you. You don't have anyone to bounce ideas off, to share burdens or stresses or to celebrate success with! You don't have a boss to tell you if you are doing a good job. There's no HR to back you up or to appraise your yearly performance. There's just you, working hard, and to have this recognised with a Halton Business Award would blow my mind!

Please all keep your fingers crossed for me! There's some excellent, beautiful humans in my category, all working super hard for you, so it's going to be tough competition, but winning would mean so much to me!
