Whenever parents ask me to incorporate a special item I love to except the challenge- I'm not talking big props that overtake the image, more items of jewellery like these wedding rings, or other special trinkets. This image will serve as a constant reminder to this family of just how tiny she once was.

Most babies that come to me love to lie on their sides, and I adore posing their hands under their cheeks to exaggerate their little faces, whilst keeping them curled up, just like they would have been in your tummy.

This one can sometimes be surprisingly tricky as baby naturally curls their hand into a fist most of the time! With patience though this shot is really worth it- I love how you can see on the tiny details- fingers, cheeks, ears, nose, eyes, lips. All of their perfect little new baby details in one shot.

I just can't resist adding some texture and depth to an image by using a cascading blanket. It compliments this airy and timeless look so much. The softness of the blankets just help babies perfect skin "pop".
