Ok, so this Wayne Gretzky quote is from the world of sport, but life is a game and I think it applies to all experiences and especially photography! The "decisive moment" happens just once, that smile, that giggle, that connection. And time, don't get me started on how fleeting it is. One minute you are holding your tiny newborn with one arm, the next you're ironing their school uniform and reminding them yet again to MAKE YOUR BED!!!

Taking a minute to sit in your newborn bubble and be together, authentically you, natural and relaxed. At home life takes over and the days move so fast, a stream of tasks and to dos...when do you stop to just be? And if you do, is anyone there to help you remember it?
A bond like no other
A brand new big brother or sister should be celebrated and given the chance to shine in their new role. Little ones can often be overwhelmed when a new baby arrives, but don't fear! It's still worth booking a newborn photoshoot with me even if you're not sure siblings will "perform", because they don't need to do anything but be themselves. If they want to cuddle baby, then great! If they are more tentative, that's fine, as I'm constantly working with children and babies I have seen it all and know a workaround so you get timeless portraits of them together.
They'll always be your baby
Things have changed forever for your first born, but they'll always be your baby, and photographing them with you as a family lets them know that this is a special time for you all and they are still your shining star you'll always make a fuss about.
Get Mummy in the picture
I've heard it so many times that Mummy is the one always taking the pictures, rarely in them. I love to take a moment with every family member to get portraits of you all with baby, and I even shoot Motherhood/nursing portraits to celebrate this amazing bond. Your memories are not left to chance, and your baby will thank you when they look back on these images in years to come.
