Have you ever wondered what 20 minutes on a blustery day with Little Wonderland looks like?

I love to shoot families and generations outdoors- I just feel it makes everyone feel more relaxed and free, especially children who need space and freedom to explore and let their personalities shine.

But sometimes you might worry about booking an outdoor session here in the UK with days that give us all the seasons in one!

But the truth is, even if the winds blowing, there's the threat of drizzle, and the clouds are out, we should still seize the moment and capture the now when it comes to family portraits. Because it's all about who you are, what you mean to each other and the love you share.

I shoot for variety of expression, mixing slightly more relaxed posing with prompting natural moments of fun and genuine reactions and giggles. These two little monkeys were full of energy, ready to explore (and bolt for the playground!) but luckily I have an arsenal of game like prompts to trick them in to being where I want them to be. And the kids were full of energy too! Well done Nana and Grandad!!

This was a quick little 20 minute shoot- the day was blustery and cloudy and the grass was muddy underfoot so we stuck to the fountain area at the glorious Victoria Park here in Widnes, Halton. Simple, fun, joy. We all loved it!
