I remember when I first started my business there was a big name high street baby store that had an in house photography studio. You could take your baby for a portrait in store for a "free shoot" and they promised you'd get one photo included.

What they failed to say before you signed up was that your free photo was literally the first shot they took, before baby had warmed up or settled, so it'd never be the one you'd actually want to choose and customers felt hoodwinked in to spending money they didn't intend on doing so, on something they thought was "free".

And every time they looked at their images for years to come they didn't remember a lovely relaxing wholesome experience creating bespoke memories. They remembered how they felt stung and hijacked in to spending money they maybe needed for something else. The bad taste of the experience lasts forever.

I price my main packages inclusively, so you know how much product you're getting for your budget. And you get to choose your images from the comfort of your own home, because I don't think high pressure in person sales are something I feel right with. I want you to make your decision because it's the right one for you and because you love your images.

I also give the option of buying extra images and product after you see your images and if you want to, and I can even set it up so you can pay monthly to help you budget to make it affordable as I remember how hard it can be when maybe you're not working whilst you rear children and babies! But it's all your choice, and there's never any pressure or emotional sales techniques at play.

The relevance of the picture at the top of this post? This is the first shot I took today whilst I was setting up for a studio sitting, checking my camera before the session and setting my white balance as today was a natural light day. And if you'd like this pic for free you are welcome...but I don't quite think it's canvas over the fireplace material, do you?
