Planning ahead

Many expecting parents like to plan ahead to make sure there's space for your newborn in my award winning photography studio. But how?

Simply get in touch with me after your 20 week scan and I'll let you know potential dates available around a week to 10 days after your due date.

You choose what looks like the best fit and I'll get you booked in.

Of course, if baby is very late arriving I always have "office days" I can slot you in to if the date needs changing, so you just have to keep me in the loop when baby arrives.

How old should baby be?

Many newborn photographers won't even contemplate shooting babies over 6 days old- but that isn't always practical, so I've developed my photographic style and workflow to adapt to babies at all stages so you can get the most out of your time spent investing in beautiful family portraits.

I've photographed babies as young as 3 days old, and in general younger babies are easier to work with as they usually sleep deeper and for longer, but honestly, I've seen it all from all ages!

I personally aim for 5-10 days old, but older babies are more than welcome too- especially if that gives you more time to adapt to newborn life and feel a bit more like yourself.

Ready when you are

I pride myself on creating a comfortable and relaxed environment for you new baby portraits, so above all I want you to visit me when the time is right for you.

Sessions have a rough guide length so you know what to expect, but if we have to stop for settling, feeding, more settling, and nappy changes you are absolutely not on the clock with me!

Babies are going to do what they want to do. Siblings might need more time to settle in and build their trust in me. Mum's and Dad's need to be relaxed too, and I am here with the patience you deserve at this whirlwind of a time.
